
On 27 May 2020, the Extraordinary Commissioner, Dr Marilù Napoletano, signed a funding agreement with the Apulia Region under the 2014–2020 Puglia Regional Operational Programme (ROP), Axis IX:
“Promoting social inclusion, combating poverty and all forms of discrimination” – Action 9.10, “Measures for the redevelopment of social and socio-educational services and infrastructure”,
for the following project:
“Integrated Centre for Reception and Protection Services for Minors and Women”
- First floor: Educational Community;
- Second floor: two Group Home services for pregnant women and mothers with dependent children;
- Articles 48 and 75 of Regional Regulation No. 4/2007, as subsequently amended and supplemented.
The funding provides for the functional refurbishment of the building located in Via Isplues and its adaptation to current safety standards, for a total amount of €1,286,922.48.
The social value of the project would strengthen the local support and reception system for minors while creating opportunities and pathways towards social inclusion for vulnerable people, fully in line with the organisation’s statutory objectives.
The project, designed by architect Antonio Bugna, is currently in the final stage of planning required to launch the procedures for awarding and procuring the works, services and supplies, in compliance with the applicable public procurement regulations.
